Terms of use.
These terms apply to the Rechnungstool application and remote MCP server.
1. Provider and scope
The provider is Valentin Döring, Kiefernring 6, 14478 Potsdam, Germany. Contact: freevallm@gmail.com.
These terms cover the application at app.rechnungstool.net and its use through compatible AI assistants and MCP clients. Additional terms of the relevant AI, email or SMTP provider apply to that provider's own service.
2. Service and costs
Rechnungstool provides functions to enter, edit, finalise, store and retrieve invoices. The service is currently offered free of charge. Some features may require a free account or a separate OAuth connection.
The service may be developed further, restricted or discontinued. Users will be informed appropriately of significant foreseeable changes affecting them.
3. Responsibility for invoice details
You are responsible for checking the sender, recipient, service, amounts, tax rates, payment details, mandatory information and other invoice data before finalisation. Use only data you may lawfully process and transmit.
Rechnungstool and replies from a connected AI assistant do not replace legal, tax or accounting advice. Help with formatting and creation does not guarantee that an individual invoice meets all legal or tax requirements.
4. Finalisation and files
A draft may be changed before finalisation. Finalisation is immutable and cannot be reversed. Check the displayed summary before confirming it.
After finalisation, you are responsible for retrieving and securely retaining the file and meeting applicable retention or evidence duties. Rechnungstool does not guarantee automatic retention compliant with German GoBD rules.
5. Permitted use and fair use
Use the service lawfully and without harming security, availability or other users. In particular, automated overload, bypassing technical safeguards, unauthorised access, malware and deceptive or unlawful content are prohibited.
Reasonable volume, rate and feature limits may protect the free service. Access may be temporarily limited or blocked in cases of abuse.
6. Availability
Continuous, uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance, security measures, infrastructure or third-party outages and technical changes may temporarily limit use.
7. Liability
Statutory liability rules apply. Where exclusion is legally permitted, the provider is not liable for damage arising solely from unchecked or incomplete invoice details, AI outputs or external services.
Liability for intent and gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected. For a slightly negligent breach of a material contractual duty, liability is limited to typical, foreseeable damage to the extent legally permissible.
8. Ending use and deleting an account
You may stop using the service at any time. If account deletion is offered in the application, you can initiate it there; otherwise you can request deletion by email. Legal retention duties and the establishment, exercise or defence of claims may prevent immediate complete deletion of some data.
9. Applicable law
German law applies. For consumers, this choice applies only insofar as it does not remove protection under mandatory provisions of the law of their habitual residence. No special court venue is agreed for consumers.
